giving

Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. - 2 Corinthians 9:7 (NIV)

At Foothills United Methodist Church (UMC), we offer two methods of giving:

Online Giving

This safe and flexible option is the easiest way to give at Foothills UMC. Whether you'd like to give a single gift, schedule ongoing donations, or view your giving history, you can do it all online - it's quick, easy, and secure. Here you can easily manage your giving amount and specify where the funds should be applied.

Give Online - give one time or set up ongoing giving.

donations to special ministries

Pastor's Discretionary Fund

Can you imagine having to choose between eating and having electricity, or between washing your clothes or having money to put gas in your car to drive to work? Pastor Linda encounters individuals with these problems each week. Your gifts to this fund help to prevent these difficult choices.

Sierra Service Project

Sierra Service Project (SSP) is a Christian nonprofit organization providing life-changing youth service projects in low-income communities. FUMC has sent a team of youth and adult for many summers. Donations directly to FUMC with SSP noted, will help to support our youth's travel and living expenses for a week.

New Building Project

Consider pledging to fundraising for a new fellowship hall. With pledges for an ongoing capital campaign, we will eventually be able to begin groundwork, infrastructure, and permit work allowing us to put a shovel into the ground and begin construction.

Memorials

With the passing of a loved one, family members and friends may make contributions to the church. These may be designated for a specific purpose or undesignated for future use for ongoing projects at FUMC.

Legacy Giving: Endowments

An endowment is a permanent fund that has been established by the church to provide a perpetual stream of income designated for purposes other than those covered by the General Fund. The principal is kept intact with annual distributions from interest income. In most cases the principal of the endowment cannot be distributed except under very dire circumstances. A well-established endowment policy provides funds for ministry over and beyond the current-expense budget. Therefore the church or agency is able to engage in outreach ministries that might otherwise go unfunded.

Tree of Life Endowment Fund

Our “Tree of Life” is a wall mounted, brass sculpture located in the church entry. It serves to give special and permanent recognition to life events that are important to its contributors. The charitable gifts given through the “Tree of Life” become part of the Endowment Fund.
