Youth group

Youth Group

This group focuses on service and fun within a Christian-centered life. There are many opportunities to be together and have fun, and many opportunities to help in the community through service endeavors. Youth Group is a great place to bring friends!  No church affiliation required. This groups helps form friendships that last and are times for those with any uncertainty about faith to be immersed in agape love in a non-intimidating group living by Christian action.

Youth Confirmation

Youth in 9th grade or above are invited to join our Confirmation Class held every other autumn, which will lead to the opportunity to make a personal confirmation of “the vows made on my behalf at baptism.”  This is a wonderful opportunity to deepen one’s personal faith, and how to share it in the community.

Youth vs Adult Volleyball

Youth vs Adult Volleyball is held in mid June. FUMC youth play volleyball against adult members of the FUMC congregation. A tasty dinner from the grill, and great fellowship follow the game.

Graduation Sunday

Graduation Sunday is full of celebration for FUMC middle school and high school graduates. This Sunday starts off with a graduation breakfast sponsored by the CFYM team and attended by all youth and their families. The graduates are then acknowledged in the 9:30 AM worship service and given a congregational blessing. Between the worship services, cake is served to help celebrate with their church family.
