Jerusalem Faire

Palm Sunday, March 28, after worship

A Foothills tradition is coming this Easter season on Palm Sunday, March 28. We would love to expand our already wonderful booths from the past. We invite new shopkeepers for Palm Sunday. Consider planning a shop this year with your family. Invite the kids to think of a craft that might have been sold in Jesus’ times. How about a sand painting shop, or painting cloth, perhaps pot painting? Maybe your family can make up a game to test the skills of others.

Everyone in the congregation and friends are invited to participate as visitors to the Faire as well as shopkeepers. Taste delectable sweets and pastries, play games, enjoy storytelling, make some fun crafts. Biblical costumes are the dress of the day and some costumes will be available for you to wear. However, just a sheet and a scarf plus a little imagination can create a perfect costume.

Oh, by the way, the tax collector roams the “city,” requesting payments of cans of food. Please bring a can to appease him. Food collected will be given to SHARE. All activities are free. For more information, contact Mary Brodie or Tonja McCarthy.
